Entrance Preview

I had a passion to become an engineer. I attended the kerala state entrance exam and joined the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Full time course with a lots of experience to lead my life.There was branches ECE, CSE, ME, EEE, CE AND IT. Students choose the branc based in their wish and interest and based on the availabilty of seats.

Internships Opportunities

As it was a graduate course, we were not having the stipend and internship program. Mostly during post graduate programs there will be internship programs.

Placement Experience

Placement was good during our academic year. I got placed in an MNC through campus recruitment. Nearly 60% of students joined vatious companies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. When we were studying fees was nearly 45000 per annum. Now it got increased to one lakh as per the government guidelines in all private lead institutions.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit cum means scholarship. College was financially backing certain students as well. Scholarships were available for students who were having good marks on higher secondary education.

Campus Life

We used to have college day, culture fest and sports day. There was no intolerance regarding religion or sexual orientation. College life was very peaceful.

Hostel Facilities

I was a day scholar. So i am not that much aware about hostal rentals and all. Hostel was seperate for boys and girls. They used to be feasible in regards of costing

Alumni/Alumna

We have alumni association and used to conduct alumni meet once in a year and this get together is making us to be in touch with friends. College faculty will give special consideration and time for all alumnis and they will arrange.

Exam Structure

Semester wise we were having exams. Also internal was getting calculated with internal exams which was conducted by college itself.

Faculty was technically sound and co operative. They were very helpful, and was available almost everytime. There was staff integrated into each department based on their skills and technological expertise.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

I applied for 4 college include the current one they were : 1)SRM , Chennai 2)M.A.C.E, Kothamangalam 3)MITS , Varikoli 4)V.J.C.E.T, Vazhakulam From these 4 colleges I was rejected by MA college and MITS. I think my KEAM score was too low to make it there . I got a seat at SRM for Electronics and Communication Engineering but was not financialy able enought to afford it. As I was applied for 2engineering colleges and 1 arts and science college. The name of the engineering colleges is 1)viswajyothi college of engineering and technology vazhakulam(Ernakulam) 2)Rajagiri school of engineering and technology (Ernakulam). And third arts and science college name is Amritha vidhya college (Ernakulam). I didn't get any rejections from these colleges but compared to these three colleges I chose viswajyothi college of engineering and technology vazhakulam Ernakulam because there I got my admission according to my JEE score and for less management fees.
