Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good in our college. The course is designed well to deliver immense knowledge on every subject. Exam structure of B.Sc. course is semester based that is 3 years course is divided into 6 semesters.

Placement Experience

Placements and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college has placement cell which provides training to the students for the interviews. Yes, our college provides internship in some departments but in our B.Sc. there is no internship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure in our college is very feasible. For our B.Sc. course fee structure is around 3000 per year that totals to 9000 for 3 years which very much feasible. Even a middle class family and financially weak students can afford the courses in our college.

Campus Life

Our college conducts several extracurricular activities such as freshers party, farewell party, etc. Recently our college organized tree plantations, platinum jubilee celebration, statistics day, etc. Our college is rich in extracurricular activities like sports, NCC and much more.

Admission

I got admission in this college after applying online through college official website which can be applied after 10+2, after applying they will consider merit score in the qualifying exam through e- counseling conducted by the college. This process is same for all UG courses provided by the college.

Faculty

Faculties are very good and helpful towards the students. They are well qualified and deliver good knowledge on topics taught by them. They try to help students not only with the subjects but also with career development.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

A good government aided college

I applied for Siliguri college, Darjeeling college, Kurseong college and I get the chance of admission in these colleges. But I choose ac college over the other colleges because the college is very renowned and my department the department of botany have produced many university toppers. The admission process is simple.
