Course Curriculum Overview

MSc botany is a post graduate program which has the duration of 2 years and follows semester system and involves lots of research and practical knowledge. The days are generally very hectic and exams are too tiring.

The institution provides with great opportunities to its students. Various training programs are also provide to them. However, there are no job facility provided by the institution. The students can find work outside place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of MSc botany into this institution is around 50 thousand which is very feasible as per the education and facilities provided by the institution. The course is also very popular among the students. Hence it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable.

Campus Life

The college enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball etc. They also organize cultural functions for the students. Various festivals including national festivals are also celebrated.

Admission

The candidates who wish to get admission must have completed Graduation in BSc with atleast 50 percent marks. Then they will have to give the entrance exam and based on their merit in the exam they will be called for the admission. They will have to provide with necessary documentation.

Faculty

The faculty of the college involves very good and qualified educators. They are well experienced and have a good knowledge about their respective subjects. They also help and encourage the students. They also provide with projects to assess the students.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
