Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of arts history is a graduation course which has the duration of 3 years and follows semester system of education. The course structure is good and organised. The days are generally chilled but exams are very tiring.

The institution provides with good education and facilities to the students. There are few internships and job opportunities for the students which are generally provided to the meritorious students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the Lalgola College for BA program is around 10 thousand which is very feasible and a decent amount to pay for the course. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable.

Campus Life

The college has various sports activities like basketball, volleyball, football etc. There are also various debate speech and elocution competitions for the students. National festivals are also celebrated in full spirit.

Lalgola College offers undergraduate courses in arts. It is affiliated to University of Kalyani. To get admission in BA history, the students will have to apply for the course and they must have 45 percent in 10+2. They will be selected on the merit basis.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
