Course Curriculum Overview
The course I have opted is B.A. english honours and any one who has taken honour subject also have to study two elective subjects and any two compulsory languages subject like bengali and english/ Alternative. English in the first year and in the third year 'Environmental Studies' and the exam pattern is semester vise which makes it a easy course to study.
Placement Experience
Yes, Placement is conducted by the college, every year different companies come for the placement drive but LIC is the main recruiter of our college, every year hundreds of students get a job from LIC in the field of ASSISTANT ENGINEERS, ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS, For Assistant Architect, For AAO (Chartered Accountant), For AAO (Legal).
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are very much feasible and anyone can afford it. Basically this is a government college so the fees are very less as compare to other colleges. I paid INR 450 for Tuition fees, INR 1900 for development fees, session charge around INR 1200, Library fees is INR 1000 and other charges were around INR 500. Also if you are a poor or backward student then there are so many scholarships offered by the government.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't take any scholarship because I am able to afford the fees but the college provides many scholarships like Minority scholarship by the State Government, Merit cum Means Scholarship by the State Government, Free studentship offered to SC, ST, OBC, BPL, PH students and if you are from a sports background then there is Sports scholarship which is offered to those showing excellence in University level Sports Competition.
Campus Life
In my college, cultural, management festivals, annual function, teacher's day etc are celebrate by students.our seniors arrange the fresher's day function with cultutal activities and sports events and the chief guest provide rewards and certificate to the winners. Also, seminars like UGC Sponsored State Level Seminar on "Gender Equality in Contemporary India with Special Emphasis on Women Empowerment held in the campus.
Admission
I got admission by filling the form online, my friend who is already a student of this college helped me to get admission. But 45% in Subject or allied subject and 50% in aggregate is compulsory to apply for the specific course. after that, my name was there in the second merit list and they called me for the documentation process. Finally, I got admission very smoothly because of my friend Also there is a reservation of 3% seats for physical handicap and blind students.
Faculty
We have the best faculty in India, all of my teacher is well educated and experienced, especially our principal Prof. (Dr.) Indrila Guha. she is M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., PhD. Also, lecturers are very friendly and our teachers like Mr Mitarik Barma, Dr Malobika Sarkar, Dr Ralla Guha Niyogi who is Head of the Department and always there for us to help and to solve our doubt related with course.
