Review On Bankura University - [BU], Purandarpur

Course Curriculum Overview: The course which I have opted for is History. I appreciated the syllabus here and it differs from other universities around the vicinity because the college offers immense training in the theoretical as well as practical (on-field) work. It lessens the burden of studies as every concept is understood in relation to practical or real life.

Placement Wing: There are no internship or job opportunities provided to us by the college for History major students. The students are free to approach other renowned people in the field of their choice to gain hands-on experience for their choice of interest.

Fee Structure And Facilities: Our college provides a very flexible and affordable fee structure with fees being accepted semester wise. The whole amount rounds up to about INR. 7,000-9,000 per semester, which according to me is pretty much feasible.

Campus Life: Our college proudly hosts any cultural festivals or programs. There is a cultural diversity present due to which every culture is respected. Sports meet is also one of the most important events where every student participated in sports competitions of their interest and represents the college and hence, they are good at all.

The selection process to the Institute is done on the basis of merit. The performance in the qualifying examination is the basis for admission. Application forms are available online on the official university website, as well as in person at the University. Candidates must have passed at the undergraduate level from a recognized university to be considered for admission. Reservation is in accordance with the regulations of the Government of India.

Faculty: What makes the subject interesting is the faculty or the teachers who give their best to teach us. They are oriented professionals with a lot of experience, be it on the field or in the teaching aspect. They make the subject easy for us to understand, which is why we are more inclined and interested in History.
