Remarks

Our college is accredited 'B' by NAAC which is quite impressive. Alongside we have Library where we can gain extra knowledge and something out of the box. We also have common rooms for both girls and boys where we can perform our various arts forms like dance, dramas, music.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our offered specialization for B.A hons curriculum in 5 disciplines of Bengali, history geography, sanskrit and English. It was a three year curriculum covered in six semesters. We were acknowledge on the theories of Indian and British english, poetry writing.

Placement Experience

Placement is not provided by out college as it do not have placement cell but our teachers encourage us to apply for jobs off campus and also acknowledge us with the various opportunities available for us in the professional world.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for my curriculum was Rs.8,100, which is very much affordable by most of the students in our area.Allowing Students with financial aid to pursue their education from this college due to the inexpensive fee structure.

Campus Life

Our college takes part in waste disposal management and encourage all the students and residents of Bankura to recycle waste products for our own benefits. Apart from this we have study tours to various places and museums.

Admission

My admission was based on the merit in 10+2. I applied after completion my 12th as it was near my house and also offered the course i wanted. I physically visited the campus and applied for the curriculum of B.A hons. But students from distant area can apply online from the college website.

Faculty

Our faculties works effectively to empower us to work hard and achieve our goals. We get to learn many techniques from them and also gain valuable insights on our respective subjects. Our teachers are our motivators.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
