Course Curriculum Overview

It is a three year curriculum with many educational tours, exhibition, practical presentations along with theory learnings'. As i opted for accountancy hons. my study included financial accounting, Mathematical methods and also managerial accounting.

Placement Experience

Our college offers internship and job opportunities to students with good academic record. Internship is also provided with stipend, few candidates are provided with part time jobs as well based on their financial stability.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for my curriculum was Rs.7230 and it is very inexpensive as our college is affiliated with the university of West Bengal , Government. The admission fee was Rs.2410/- which i paid only for one time during admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is provided for students in need. SC/ST caste students are granted stipend by the SC/ST welfare department, Government of West Bengal. Kanyashree and Aikyashree scholarship is provided to the deserving candidates.

Campus Life

Our college organize Annual sports meet where we students can participate and show of our talent in sports. Apart from this our college conducts seminar on enhancing our skill sets and provide us with numerous opportunities. We have our college's own magazine where creative students can show their talents in creative writing, painting, story writing.

Admission

I applied online by creating a account in the college website and filled the online application form with all my required details and information and paid a amount of Rs.150 for the application form. Based on my 10+2 academic performance i was offered this curriculum.

Our college have two guest lecturers, and two part time teacher for our curriculum who usually visits our campus for conducting valuable lectures based on our education. Apart from them we have other teachers for our each subjects who takes interest to clear our doubts and teach us efficiently.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
