Safe and secure environment

I appreciate our teachers who work day and night for us, to have a great experience in every day learning class. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The college is in South Kolkata, which makes it a good place to hang out.

I had a very pleasant experience in my first year with the exams and assignments. We had a very detailed and engaging course in the starting semesters. The main focus was on poetry through British era and in the last semester we had Indian Literature which was very interesting.

Internships are provided by the college at the end of the second year or the third year, depends actually. My seniors were selected for summer internships by some publishers and as content writers. The stipend they received for around 3000 max. Some of our seniors got job opportunities from credible publishing companies.

Our college hosts events on special days like Independence Day, Women? day which is a great deal for our college, and Matribhasha Dibos, NCC orientation programs etc. We?e also attended famous seminars.

My fee for BA (Hons) English was around 16.5K. The fees is very feasible as compared to other colleges offering the same course with the same syllabus. We are lucky to have a prioritised education with less fees

We are exposed to different types of curricular activities like drama club, photography club, debate club, eco club etc. we get all types of experience here and the workshops that are provided are very great all round.

I live in the hostel in the college campus. We are provided with separate rooms or two sharing rooms as per our choice. The food is tasty and we are given breakfast, lunch and dinner with some snacks in the evening. The bathrooms are hygienic and overall everything is good.

Our seniors are great women. They are strong and bold and motivate us to do better in studies and also in sports. Our seniors would make sure that the faculties treat us right. Being a all girls college, we all are very close whichever makes our daily life very easy

I got admission in the BA (Hons) English program through applying for the course online and then I got selected through the merit list. After I got selected, I had to go to the college office to submit my documents and get done with the admission procedure.

Our faculty is very sensible and understanding towards the girls. Us being only girls, we never go through any trouble with the faculties. They are highly educated in their subjects and teach us as good as they can.
