Remarks

Pakuahat college is definitely good if you wish to study the courses offered by the college. The faculties have a great understanding for the students. They are nice to everyone. And a student can become whoever they wish to here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good but there can be more better subjects added. The course is mainly research based and political subjects. The exams were easy and we got around 2-3 hours to appear for each exam. The environment was very calm.

Placement Experience

The general courses offered by our college do not have any placement options as they are not professional courses. But after these courses a student can appear for other exams or study further as his or her choice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees I had to pay was 2210? for a year and 6630? for the whole three years. The fees is very reasonable and can be paid in one go. It can be afforded by everyone and is okay for the education offered by the college.

Campus Life

Our college has a huge campus for the students to thrive in. There is a huge librabry with every subject? book and students can be seen sitting there till late nights, studying for their exams. There is also a sports club and computer labs for the students.

Hostel Facilities

I don? stay in the hostel because I live nearby, but some of my friends stay in the college? hostel. They told me that the food is alright, but the rooms are big and tidy. Other facilities are also provided.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very lovely people. They are like our friends. We hang out almost everyday after college ends and we talk about whatever I professors taught us. They also help us with the assignments and exams.

Admission

I heard about Pakuahat college online and looked through the brochure. The admission process was very clear and there was no mention of entrance exam so I contacted the college and they asked me to visit the college office and apply for the course offline.

Faculty

My teachers have very strong opinions as they are professors of political science. They love having debates and discussions with us on politics. I?e also noticed that they are accommodating and understanding.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
