I always wanted to pursue B.Com but didn't have the luxury to attend regular college as I have to work side by side to support myself so the Directorate of Distance Education came as an opportunity where I can study my favorite course through distance learning with the help of highly qualified faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum for B.Com is designed perfectly covering all the topics which are necessary while pursuing the course. The course mainly focuses on topics related to Accounts, Finance, and Business Management which are important in B.Com. Exams are held in two ways first though internals which is conducted in mid of the semester and second through Finals conducted at the end of every semester.
Placement Experience
Directorate of Distance Education provides its students with various job opportunities through campus placements. The Placement Cell of the university helps students with their portfolio and profiles through which they can appear for a job interview and guide them constantly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure in my opinion is quite affordable in comparison to other universities. For B.Com total fees for 3 years is around Rs 28,000 and which is good with the kind of various facilities provided by the university.
Campus Life
Universities provide their students with different workshops and seminars to help them gain new skills and evolve for future opportunities. Also, it consists of a large library with various books and articles to help students study and make notes.
Hostel Facilities
No, I haven't opted for any Hostel or Dorm but the university provides its students with the facilities of Hostels where they can reside without any hindrance. Apart from that various PGs are available near the university area which one can look for.
Admission
The admission process for this college is quite easy and I didn't face any kind of heckle in the process. Generally, my admission is purely based on the merit list and no entrance test is required to get a seat. I filled my application form online through the official website of the university and then got admission on merit listed with my aggregate marks from Class 12. As soon as I got inducted, I went to campus and submitted my fees alongside the required documents.
Faculty
Faculty staff for B.Com is excellent and highly qualified. Teachers generally focus on real-life learning and demonstrate the class with various examples rather than book learning. Also, teachers constantly help every student in every way possible.
