An overview of my college experience

The course curriculum is very well-defined and has been prepared by some of the best professors in the field and is based on real life instances and experiences so that students are able to relate and understand the subject at its best. The duration of the course is 2 years which is further divided into 4 semesters and we have final exams in each semester along with internals.

The placement and internship opportunities for our course are pretty low compared to other colleges but the college is improving in this area by bringing more companies to the campus. Most of the students apply off campus to get better placement and internship options.

The fee structure is extremely inexpensive and feasible for all the college students. The fee structure for 1st and 2nd year is Rs. 7450 and Rs. 6,700 respectively which includes tuition fee, admission fee and other fees which is comparatively less than most colleges in West Bengal.

The students are involved in all kinds of extra-curricular activities be it sports, singing, dancing, debating, etc. The students here are multi-talented and have a lot more to offer than just knowledge. This makes the environment at Bankura University very appealing and pleasant for every student.

I got into Bankura University, West Bengal for MA (Political Science). The candidates seeking admission in this university for MA need to have a BA (Hons.) degree in the required field with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. The students with the highest aggregates will be selected for the course. The admission process was fairly simple and I had to just submit some documents along with my 10+2 score card.

The faculty of the college is amazing and all the teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are approachable in case you have any doubt in a topic and are extremely punctual in terms of taking classes.
