I took IIT JEE and AIEEE. i was not selected in IIT because my exam didn't went well. I got decent rank in aieee around 50k. Which was enough for making me eligible for Jaypee colleges, In this rank range , Jaypee was the best choice given its reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well course curriculum remains the same, for all the BTECH programs through out the country more or less. First semester, we have a variety of subjects ranging from Physics and maths to Personality development and C programming. A bit of hard work in early semesters can help you maintain a good grade through out your BTECH tenure.
Internships Opportunities
Well, all the companies offer internship based jobs, in which ever company you are selected, which are most like to go through a 4-6 month internship. If you are looking for internships in second or third year, then are were not many opportunities, but you can always look online for internship. I applied through Internshala and was selected in RannLab, a noida based start-up as a Android Developer. The stipend was around 3 K , which was meagre but gave a lot of learning opportunities.
Placement Experience
Jaypee institution is made up of sisterhood institutions. JIIT (noida), JUIT( solan) and JUET( guna). The placements take place on a common ground. And there are ample opportunities for someone who is skilled and posses a good knowledge. But still, there are lack of core companies for recruitment at Jaypee specially for branches like Civil and Electronics and Engineering.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Well , being in a private college , i would say fees is somewhat expensive. Which amounts to around 8 lakhs for four years. Tution fee is around- 40 k , hostel fee about 37,500 . Both to be paid per semester. There is also an addition fee called Developement fee os 50,000to be paid annually.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well there is a Scholarship called William-Webster scholarship which pardons a student's fee for entire course. If the student is good in academics and his/her parents income is below a Threshold.
Exam Structure
Till the third year, we have Two exams called T-1 and T-2 in a semester.T-1 is of about 30 marks and T-2 of 45 marks. Rest of 25 marks are graded as internal assessment which includes Attendence , assignments and quizes. Every exam would be preeceded by lab exams of respective subjects.
Faculty
Faculty was fix of good and bad teachers. Some teachers were brilliant, and some very shabby and lacked communication power with the students. What ever the case, you always have to stand up for yourself and do whatever is in your grasp.
