Remarks

College faculty is good. I just want to say that Please make students more comfortable with practical knowledge rather than theoretical.

Entrance Preview

JEE main-85225 CBSE 12th-90% CBSE 10th-8.4, BITSAT-282, SRM-680 AIRVIT- 103442 AIR, I have opted for this college as i wanted to do btech in computer stream from a good college and it is one of them.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is good. As the compulsory subjects in our curriculum are very useful in our future. Our maximum subjects are our core subjects like c, c++, java, android, web technology, database management. Till now , i have not opted for electives.

Internships Opportunities

Till now I have not opted for intership as i have to do the internship after my sixth sem but i have done many courses like PHP and C++ in my two month holidays of first and second year.

Placement Experience

Placements in our college is almost 100 percent. This year many students are being placed in many reputed companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon .

College Events

In our college Tedx , Juit cultural fest , Juit technical fest, sports fest, juit youth parliament has been organized. It was one of the great experience. As in our cultural fest we had a lot of fun with friends.Last year, sachin-jigar had come from coke studio and many other events had been organized like war of bands.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible.It is approximately 2 lakhs per year including hostel , mess, development fee. I had asked many of my friend about their fee structure but as compared to that i feel my college fee structure feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes , William webster scholarship is offered by our college. It has been given to economically weak students which i think is very helpful for them.

Campus Life

Workshops has been organized by our college from time to time like robotics, android. Currently, Os club, ACM, IEEE is also working and technical club organizes events like robo race etc. ACM is giving opportunity to students to explore their area of interest.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel and mess facility is good. We are living two persons in one room. Mess food is quite good. Everyday menu is already decided.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are good. Alumnis visit college from time to time to meet their friends, faculty. Seniors give good advice to their juniors.They help a lot to juniors like give them their notes, books, slides etc ad can even help in their projects also.

Exam Structure

We have three exams in one semester i.e. T1, T2, T3T1 is of 15 marks and of 1 hourT2 is of 25 marks and of 1.5 hoursT3 is of 35 marks and of 2 hours.

Faculty of college is very good as our college faculty is best one as all the faculty are doctorate graduate and they teach very good and if a student is unable to understand anything then he/she can meet the faculty personally and the faculty is always ready to help.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
