Remarks

The SNU University understands the requirements of the students. Most of the faculty is greatly supportive and helpful to the needs of the students. I am fully satisfied with the college facilities, faculties, and infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

SNU exam structure is somewhat like this complete paper is separated into 7 modules; candidates have to try any 5 modules, the paper will be conducted in English medium only. Each module will consist of 10 questions (MCQs) for 2 marks all. Total marks for the paper will be 100 for the duration of 90 minutes. For each correct answer, 2 marks will be given while wrong answer will result in a deduction of 25% marks of the answered question.

Placement Experience

SNU has 100% placement record. The college has an honest percentage of placements. Almost 40% of the students get an internship every year from all courses. We get an chance to experience job difficulties and get trained for the future while finishing our degree

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are feasible of Sister Nivedita University - [SNU] as compared to other university. Every student has a scholarship, which is awarded on the foundation of entrance tests and 12th score. Usually, loans aren't needs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the SNU offers Merit scholarships and Sports scholarships under Techno India Foundation. 5% recreation in the tuition fee will be offered to those B.Tech students whose parent? annual income is less than Rs 4.5 lakhs.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities can be business tour, educational programs, army seminars are held time to time .Some sports tournaments are also conducted by our university as Inter-college tournament etc. in which many games are played as football, table tennis, basketball etc.

Admission

SNU offers B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Com etc courses at undergraduate level. Sister Nivedita University also offers MBA, M.Com, M.Sc etc courses in various specializations at postgraduate level. The application forms can be filled by online mode. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts JESNU to offer admission in all the UG courses offered by Sister Nivedita University. The admission to B.Tech in Computer Science and Business System (motorized by TCS) is presented on the basis of a superior score in JEE Main.

Faculty

The faculties of SNU are very cooperative in nature. The duration of class is 5 hours, semester projects, weekly coursework with Chalk and board, smart classes, PowerPoint presentations and videos. This is what we see every day. Great educational environment along with varies opportunities for co-curricular.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Insights of SNU

There are a few private colleges present in Kolkata which provides biotechnology but in my opinion the labs of those colleges are not as well furnished as ours. There curriculum is little different than ours. I didn't apply to any other colleges apart from Snu for biotechnology I sat for an online exam .And I cleared the test. Once you get a call you visit the college campus meet the faculty and the faculty may take a type of interview session The addmission process is smooth. But sometimes the staff members of admission makes blunder. My classes were about to start from 17 August, but they called me during July( because she didn't know that biotechnology does not fall under para- medical and made a mistake and for her mistake I had to suffer as I'm not a resident of Kolkata)...Read More
