Remarks

Our college has excellent infrastructure. As our campus includes well established library, labs in each n every department, gym, multipurpose hall, indoor & outdoor sports facilities. The teaching learning process is supported by multi media in our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal. Exams are conducted according to university. Course mainly includes education, culture, human values, various assesments, philosphy of education etc. Our course also includes practical training and research for teachers. Well the course is hectic or chill its totally depend on you. According to me course is easy and enjoyable once you understand the things properly.

Placement Experience

Placements are more than average in our college. Students get placed not only in government schools but in various private schools or in universities. Mostly seniors from our college are in the post of TGT, PGT. Some students opt for further studies like M.ed and become teacher educator and some are school counselors.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for our course is 75,000 for general category which is very relevant to pay. Student can pay this fees in 2 installments. The fees of first year is 40,000 while the fees of second year is only 35,000. Students can pay their fees by NEFT as well as by online banking.

Campus Life

Our college organizes good and meaningful seminars and events related to our study and environment. Fresher and farewell party is organised every year by college and students. Annual day and college fest are the main attractive events held in our college every year. Various environment societies, college government, sports club gives opportunities to students to develop their interpersonal skills.

Admission

B.ED is a 2 year undergraduate course. I really love this course as I always wanted to pursue my carrer in teaching. Teaching is the most respected job across the world. Pursuing this course allows students to inculcate in themselves good teaching skills and also how to work in the administrative aspect of education system. I got admission in this course on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and then the counselling is conducted by college for eligible students. Students can apply online for admission.

Faculties of our college are extremely knowledgeable and hardworking with the students. Their long teaching experience guides students a lot. Mostly teachers are highly educated and skilled here. They help each and every student without any kind of discrimination.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I always wanted to go in the field of education so that I could share my knowledge with the children. In this college, the admission is based on merit only. The marks of the last qualifying exams are considered here.
