A beautiful journey full of memories

Our college is one of the most famous and prominent colleges in South India. Except a few shortcomings like lack of hostel facility and lower focus on cultural and social events, our college offers a great degree of flexibility and support to the students to learn and grow by gaining from their experiences and knowledge.

Our course curriculum was mainly based on practical aspects of pharmacy. We had a to take theoretical classes in the first two years while the third year was meant for internship under the supervision of a competent clinical officer. We studied about hospital and clinical pharmacy and clinical toxicology in the first year. In the second year, we studied clinical research and pharmacognosy. Exams were held on semi annual or semester basis.

The placement and job opportunities are quite good in our college. I myself got recruited in Glenmark as a quality control officer and is getting a pay of ?30000 per month. Many famous companies like Appolo hospitals, Amrita Hospitals, Abbott, Glenmark etc. visit our college and recruit almost all the students.

The fee structure of the college is somewhat expensive than other similar colleges offering this course. The annual fees we have to pay is 57000 INR. However we can get scholarship if we can have outshining performance in our exams. But overall, the fees isn't affordable for lower middle class families.

Many cultural events and co-curricular activities are organised from time to time in our college. Students from other colleges also participate in these events. Various seminars and workshops are held by the students union which are of great help in understanding the real world requirements and problems. We also visited industrial areas to have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.

I have firstly filled an admission form along with my passport size photographs, transfer certificate, B. Pharmacy passing certificate, eligibility certificate and other documents for getting admitted to the college. Since, I belong to Chennai, so I was exempted from submitting the migration certificate. Then, after completing the procedure, I got admitted to the college.

The faculty of our college was something I liked the most. Generally college teachers don't focus much on imparting value education but our teachers use to provide us deep insights into the reality of the world along with the bookish education. I highly enjoyed the learning experience in these three years.
