Course Curriculum Overview

The academic session of CBPBU is July to June, which starts from the 1st July every year. Each session is divided into 2 semesters, which makes the total of 4 semesters per PG program. The eligibility to attend an examination is 75% attendance of the classes and tutorials in each semester.

Placement Experience

Course curriculum is organized in such a way so all students are well settle after completing course from there. Many students are doing his own practice and they are popular lawyer. Also some students joined to private organization as a legal advisor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Course fee for LLM is 13000 for one year which was feasible for me. Once students decleared eligible for admission have to pay all the admission fees within the fixed timeline. college do not take other fee after admission fee.

Campus Life

College is very much focused on extracurricular activities and students activily participate in all activity.College celebrate foundation, Independence day etc. University also organise sports championship.

Hostel Facilities

College have very good hostel, regarding ragging at the time of admission students The need to submit two affidavits to restrain themselves from ragging.A self-declaration affidavitand another affidavit from the parent.

Admission

For taking admission in LLM to this university I have appeared in examination conducted by University. For admission 60% intake is merit based from previous qualifying exam and 40% intake is through an entrance test.

I am blessed enough to get education from the best and wonderful teachers who always show their extended help and are ready to solve all my queries as soon as possible. Besides my college also focuses on paying individual attention.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My CGPA is Very High 9.13 & I have got a chance in all other universities like NBU, APDU , RGU, GBU , VU , SKBU & many more.But the Fact is, Being a resident of Coochbehar I heard that the CBPBU physics department is dedicated for Teaching Physics. And It's situated in my hometown so I decided to study here. MSc degree is same overall in all West Bengal state government-sponsored university. So I hereby decided to study in my hometown rather than going outwards.In accordance to the WBHED notification, this University starts admission in Online mode.
