Course Curriculum Overview
The course was quite in terms of recent trends and lasted for 3 years with 6 semesters. The college was recognised by the Bharathiar University and UGC. They followed the CBCS set by the university. The first two semesters we learned the basics, before moving on.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of our college was amazing. Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Vee Technologies, HCL, AEE.BEE and Wipro are few of the employers that came in for the campus recruitment. The promised stipend was quite adequate as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee range was from 1000 rupees to 2000 rupees for the aided batch. My course cost me 1478 rupees. The deserving students also have scholarships and fee concessions set up by the college as well as the government.
Campus Life
The college has multiple clubs you can join and the NSS and youth red cross you can volunteer in. I was part of the red cross, which was quite an experience for me as i like to volunteer a lot. The red cross have their rules, if you adhere to it the experience can be rewarding.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel was an amazing experience and i made life-long friends in there. With an admission rate of 100 rupees per year, the hostel was quite clean and hygienic as well as had an amazing warden who made it feel like home.
Admission
Vellalar was an obvious choice for me as it provided good opportunities and was in good location. I went to college after receiving my 12th marks, which was 69 percent, and submitted an application and got admission soon after.
Faculty
The faculty and teachers are all very supportive and qualified. They are driven for their need to impart knowledge and help us with whatever we need help with. Dr.V.Renugadevi, the HOD was strict but accomodating to the students needs.
