This id one best and old Institute. Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science is an institute of higher learning in Kolkata, India. Established in 1876 by Mahendra Lal Sarkar, a private medical practitioner, it focuses on fundamental research in basic sciences.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is very good and popular University, the course curriculum of this University is very well organised. Also this University paying special attention in upgrading and structuring the curriculum. This University is very punctual on taking exam and publishing result.

Placement Experience

Since the education system of the university is good, so the students get placement without any much difficulty. All my seniors today are working in good organisations and even I also have plans to work post completing my course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of this University is very less and feasible for everyone. Entire course we have to pay one lacks thirty thousand rupees. This is the one of the best Institution who is not selling education, students from all types of background can study to this University.

Campus Life

University has focused on extracurricular activities. The goals of extracurricular activities is for individual student level and the institutional level development. College organized extracurricular activities in such a way so students should interact with other students, which will leading to increased learning and enhanced development.

Hostel Facilities

College hostel which is very well maintained. Hostel is provided with 24 hours security. Hostel have very good facilities and they are providing good food, everyday in week they are providing different foods.

Admission

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum 60% marks for general category and 55% for Reserved categories or equivalent grade in both 10 and 10+2 levels are eligible for admission.Those who have appeared in 10+2 exams can also apply.

Each departments have different faculty members which has different qualities and are no doubt the best in their respective subjects. Sincerity is present in all the faculty members. Their qualification brings more interest in them to teach.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
