Management is superb, but a bit slow. They are efficient though. College has recently been awarded with NBA accreditation for 5 years
Entrance Preview
CAT, another common admission test. It was very similar to AIEEE. Scored rank 120. We had come from all parts of the country to join a government college, rumored to have been selected among those institutes that were getting converted to IIT. That was in Year 2006.
Course Curriculum Overview
A generic B.Tech curriculum with 8 semesters. We had a mini-project and major project that massed up most of the marking system in the whole of 8 semesters. The last 2 semesters were dedicated to seminars and major project with electives like VLSI Design, Image Processing and Robotics .
Internships Opportunities
There was choice to go for college internship with professors, or gain company experience. There was no stipend whatever.
Placement Experience
Placements were lined up with top It companies and few of core companies. Core Companies included Flextronics, Delphi Digital, Motorola etc. Top IT Companies like TCS, Infy, Wipro etc. were always recruiting in mass. We were allowed one core and one IT Company for selection.
College Events
Technical Events like Techmantra, Inspire and mechanical fair events with miniature mechanical devices were hosted. Similar events were hosted by each engineering branch.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Very feasible, infact less than any government college you would find. The total fees for Engineering was less than 60, 000 for a General Category student.
Fees and Financial Aid
Government Sponsored scholarships were provided based on merit and also reservations. .
Alumni/Alumna
Few seniors were responsible. Out batch was the most meritorious batch that came through because of advanced CAT exam. So, we were the best aggregation of meritorious students through out the country.
Exam Structure
Examinations were conducted for each semesters. They were categorized into Internal and External Semesters. Externals were conducted once each semester. 50% weightage to each .
Faculty
Faculty were well trainer. There were permanent and temporary faculties. Permanent staff were credited with Lectureship and Doctorates. They were experts each in their own domain.
