Course Curriculum Overview
It is a three-year course which is NAAC accredited B. It is recognized by UGC and affiliated to the University of Kalyani. Hence, I was very much satisfied with the overall course structure aligned with lab tutorials and examinations every two semesters. The course was overwhelming in all as it stood out among the other colleges in the vicinity did not have much to offer. The highlight of the course definitely will be Prof. Mriganka Poddar, who was there to help us out in any way possible.
Placement Experience
Regular seminars and workshops conducted by industry experts help us gain an insight of the corporate world. It helped develop our skills which were crucial during interviews and helped land many their dream jobs. Over the next 6 months, I will be undergoing training on various aspects of interviews, relevant skills and certifications required to help me land my job.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a very feasible course as it takes only Rs 2180 per year. Given the stature of the college, you stand to earn multifold on your investment. It amounts to only Rs 6540 which is very decent for someone coming from the town of Murshidabad.
Campus Life
There are a number of extra-curricular activities such as football, badminton, cricket etc. Everyone looks up to the annual sports day held each year with fervour and enthusiasm. There are annual functions based on singing, talent contest, quiz competition to name a few. There is a student's common room which is mainly for girls while the one for boys is being built.
Admission
I got admission through a merit list where I got decent marks to grab a seat in Philosophy. I completed my 10+2 with 68% marks wherein a needed a minimum of 45% to be eligible for this course. Additionally, I secured 57% in Philosophy, two more than the required percentage for a particular subject.
Faculty
The highlight of the course definitely will be Prof. Mriganka Poddar, who was there to help us out in any way possible. He has an M.A. and M.Phil which make him the most ideal candidate for this job. His technique was unique, pleasant and enchanting which made him the best professor in the city.
