Remarks

Over all I can say college is good for mediocre students and they can have good future from here. The management of the college is good.

Entrance Preview

Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed Univercsity exam has been taken by me. I scored 129 out of 200 ranked 415 and took Mechanical Engineering. Pleacement was good and location as Pune helped me to opt the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course Curriculum is very good at least for BE Mechanical We studied almost all the papers which is being taught in IITs. Even in electives we studied Finite Element Method, Industrial Engineering, Financial Accounting and IC Engines which helps the students to have some prior knowledge before joining some industry.

Internships Opportunities

Internship are generally self arranged. Colleges provide a bit but not much The best company came for internship was L'Oreal and they offered almost 5.5 lac in 2006 after internship. Also some companies like Wipro & Infosys offered around 3.6 lac after internship. During internship they paid 8000 per month where as L'Oreal payed 12000 per month. Self arranged internships are mostly unpaid and paid ones were having almost 5000 to 6000 per month in 2006.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement was very good. Out of 600 students 480 students got placed through campus placement. Kanbay, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Satyam, Perot Systems, EDS, TCS, Accenture, CSC, L&T, Cummins, Kirloskar, Suzlon, Indian Army, HSBC, ICICI, Jindal Steels were some of the companies which came in placement.

College Events

3.5

Technical Events such as Genesys for Comuter Engineering, BVERA for Eletrical engineering, Mechatrnics for electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Robotics were some technical & culture events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In 2006 tuition fees was INR 44000 per annul. Now also it is less than 1 lac so can me afforded for medium sector people. It is neither expensive nor cheap. The good thing is there is no extra charge in tuition fee other than this.

Fees and Financial Aid

No there was no scholarship as such provided by the college I have ever came across. Every one has to pay full fees. There were just couple of students who were extremely poor to pay the fees were having 50% of fee relaxation.

Campus Life

3.5

Yeah Campus life, I can say is the most memorable life I have ever live. I think most of the students would agree with the same. The college was having a huge ground where all king of sport such as Cricket, Football, Kabaddi etc. were getting played during the fest. The labs for all the departments were good. Also there were paper presentation, Robotics, Debates during our college fest in each branch.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In our college only 1st year were having hostel for boys in 2006. Girls can be in hostel for all 4 years. Food was good in hostel Vegetarian foods were of standard quality but Non Veg lack a bit,

Alumni/Alumna

We used to meet as an Alumini in couple of years share our memories and thoughts. We all are in continuous touch with Facebook and linked in even if a good number of students are outside India as well. Some of the Alumni are administrative officers and founder of some start ups.

Exam Structure

One internal examination each semester and one semester examination. Internal carries 30 marks and semester carries 70 marks. So in theory each semester will be of 100 marks. Also there will be 25 marks internal for term work and 25 to 50 marks depending on the subject in external practicals. Same will be in each semester. One year will have of 2 semesters so in total there were 8 semesters.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is average as only 4 professors were doctorate in 2006. But the professors who were doctorate were really good. The assistant professors were mostly M Tech. and the lecturers were B. Tech only. The lecturers were not having that much good understanding of the subject making the faculty as average. But in higher classes in 3rd and 4th year lecturers were not involved in teaching students. They were only teaching till 2nd year.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.

All faculty members are well-qualified and experienced. The course is very vast but the teaching faculty cover it through their extra lectures and practicals.
