Course Curriculum Overview
B.Tech is a 4 year degree i.e it includes 8 semesters. The institute has various labs for every engineering department for carrying out research. We were assigned projects and assignments to be submitted within the deadlines. The course was offered with various specializations.
Placement Experience
Various students from our batches are enjoying luxurious employment opportunities. The institute invites various reputed firms to place their students at respectable positions. The students were placed among various fields such as Research, Communication, Experimentation, Designing, Machinery, Planning, Management, Production and many more with recruiters like Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, Oracle and the list goes on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since this is a government institute, the fee expenses are quite affordable for a four year course as compared to other colleges. The fee for first year is Rs. 17,505 and the fee for remaining each year is Rs.9,810. The fee roughly sums upto Rs. 47,000 for the entire B.Tech course.
Campus Life
The colleges organizes various extracurricular activities like cultural programs, sports meet to allow students to take a break from their busy schedules. These activities enable the students to explore their interests. Students of any department can participate irrespective of their gender, caste or religion.
Admission
Admission to B.Tech course was done on the basis of All India GKCIET Entrance exam conducted by the institute. The candidates were shortlisted on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance exam and were further called for counselling in the campus. Moreover the entrance exam is compulsory for candidates of states other than West Bengal.
Faculty
Faculty of our department have always been helpful even after the college hours. They were highly trained and specialized in their respective fields. All of them had a dynamic enthusiasm. They used to relate the materials to actual experiences in life. They used to hold the attention of the students by delivering the information in a clear, understandable manner.
