Course Curriculum Overview
BA (Hons) is offered by the college for 3 years duration program having the choice of 5 honors subjects i.e. Bengali, Geography , History, Nepali and Sociology as the choice for Honors . The course is designed with a complete set of information from basic NCERT level to a decent level.
Placement Experience
Direct placement opportunities or in campus placements are less but some companies companies visit the campus every year for placements like the newspaper and press related companies and a few more. Many students prefer for higher studies after graduation or enter in the government sectors. Few seniors of our college have even qualified one of the toughest examination in the country i.e. UPSC examinations after graduating from here and are successfully working as an IAS ad IPS officers . The opportunities are broad.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the college is not expensive . It is much feasible. An average middle class family can easily afford the fees . In my course of BA(Hons) , it costs me a total of around 6,000 per year which is not much . In around a maximum of 20,000 I have to pay for my fees which is economical.
Campus Life
Annual cultural festival is organized every year . There are various clubs in the college for our interests and to build our inbuilt talent in a more vast way like music club, photography club, debate club , film club, literary club , Nature and wildlife club etc. We can join any of them depending upon our choice and interests . We are provided a separate sports club for our various indoor and outdoor games.
Admission
The admission in the college is completely based on the merit score . The interested candidates have to to through the online application form , after filling the application form with required details ,the selection process takes place on the merit marks scored in class 12 . For admission in the various programs a score of 75% in +2 is a safe side .The candidates have to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria of scoring at least 55% marks in 10+2 examination from CBSE or any other recognized board.
Faculty
The notes and teaching by our professors are awesome. Their way of teaching makes even the most boring subject in a very interesting way which makes the teaching unique. All the professors are highly qualified with years of experience in teaching. Their teaching and notes are more sufficient to qualify even the govt service exams .
