Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good, it is divided in a way so that the academic and the research get equally focused. There are projects for students and there are internal and external assessment as well.

Placement Experience

The college offers no internships and no stipend to the students studying. There are very less job opportunities but the college prepares you enough so that you can get a job easily once you have finished your time at the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The feast for my course was very low. It was about 4000 for one year so it was in total 8000 for 2 years. The maintenance fees was about thousand rupees and the admission form was also very cheap.

Campus Life

There are a lot of sports tournaments and activities taking place in the campus. They have a lot of clubs like literary club dance club music club etc. You can enjoy your time in the college by joining these clubs.

Admission

The Admission procedure is merit based. You have to fill the form offline or online and fill in your details and your marks in your undergraduate. If you get your name in the cut off list then you are lucky.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is highly qualified and is very helpful and supportive. You can find them having your back in the whole time of your education. they are fun and they like to share their experience that you can learn from them.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

My CGPA is Very High 9.13 & I have got a chance in all other universities like NBU, APDU , RGU, GBU , VU , SKBU & many more.But the Fact is, Being a resident of Coochbehar I heard that the CBPBU physics department is dedicated for Teaching Physics. And It's situated in my hometown so I decided to study here. MSc degree is same overall in all West Bengal state government-sponsored university. So I hereby decided to study in my hometown rather than going outwards.In accordance to the WBHED notification, this University starts admission in Online mode.
