Course Curriculum Overview
A Ph.D course curriculum in agriculture offered us advanced studies related to plants, animals and farming in preparation for expert or academic positions. The Exam structure consists of Stream A and Stream B, Stream A consists of physics, chemistry and agriculture/biology and Stream B consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Placement Experience
Students were allowed to do internships and during internship we got into the field and did research program for crop improvement and was able to identify the problems of farmers and we also managed to get a stipend the work done. Various job opportunities were provided to us from agrochemical companies and I was also selected for a company and given head post of policy makers. Banks also hire students for some jobs.
College Events
Every year college celebrated all common events such as Teachers day and National day functions. Apart from that college celebrated events that has a closer link with the agriculture. Events like Green Environment day etc. were celebrated every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fee for the course was 1.81 Lakh Rs. in total for three years and it was affordable by students irrespective of student? background and for those who wants to pursue their careers in this field. Hotel fee was also affordable by the students.
Campus Life
The institute offered us various facilities like cafeteria, museum, guest house, hostels, etc. There is an Agriculture Knowledge Management Unit along with an agronomy and agromet lab. There was ample space of field farm so that proper implementations and research can be carried out. And it was helpful for us as there was live demonstration, which helped us grasp it easily.
Alumni/Alumna
There were no alumini network for us and we heard college is making all efforts to make it happen, but seniors did provide us all kind of helps to solve problems and we also tried to help our juniors by lending our old books to those who can? afford.
Admission
In order to get admission I had to clear AIEEA for admission for Ph.D in Agriculture and was able to do my Ph.d in agriculture and it happened to be a pen-paper based test and we did use the OMR sheets to fill the answers.In which we had to complete 180 answers in 2hrs.
Faculty
The faculties of the institute were appointed after thorough procedures of testing and qualification checks. The faculties work as per the norms and guidelines set by the institute. All of them are knowledgeable and assist and guide the students in conducting research work. They get along the students and provide their knowledge to help students know more.
