Chittaranjan College (Review)

The college was very good and I had great experience being a part of this college. The campus life was very positive and professional. The infrastructure was also satisfactory and had good environmental management. Honestly I miss being a part of this college. I will always cherish the memories from here.

The course was of three years- BA (Hons.) English We Had one indian language to choose from in between Bengali,Hindi, Urdu. And had three elative subjects from which we have to choose any two those were History, Education & Political Science, Philosophy.

However something we didn't had here was the facility of on campus placements. We however further have to search for Jobs on our own. Various job opportunities open up after completing of BA hons. In English but however I chose to do post graduate so I didn't searched for job. And is currently doing my post graduate.

The university allover had very feasible fees structure not just in the course that i was persuing but allover all the courses were very feasable. The total three years of fees of my undergraduate degree course BA(Hons.) (Eng.) Was Rs. 8,975

We were not provided with proper scholarships opportunities. The fees itself was very affordable we didn't have to search for scholarships opportunities.. but opportunities of Freeship was offered to the students who were poor and had the potential so as to complete there graduation.

The university use to conduct various extracurricular activities for us such as intercollege games and debate competition and also various cultural competion use to take place every year by the student council and many festive events such as Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Republic Day and Blood Donation Camps also use to take place every year.

The admission of students is on the basis of merit. So I also got my admission on the basis of my merit in 10+2 We Students are eligible for admission only when we score atleast minimum 45% marks in aggregate and have scored at least 55% marks (50% for reserved category) in English. However the mode of filling application is offline by visiting the campus ourself.

The faculty was well qualified and use to teach us everything very effectively and clearly. We could ask them about any topic with ease and no hesitation. They have all done masters in there subjects.
