Course Curriculum Overview
The course is designed just how as I had expected it would be - a collection of the most important topics of the subject, and additional emphasis on the most important ones. The subject combinations are provided such that it helps us in our career or higher studies later. Exams are held regularly, every semester.
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is good. Many students have got jobs in reputed firms, such as Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Max Bupa, Infosys, IDBI, Hinduja Global Solutions, HCL and Capgemini. The authorities help the students prepare and connect them to potential recruiters.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the course is affordable, with the cost per semester lying between 3000 and 4000 rupees approximately. The further costs of hostel and mess are also not too high, making studying at this college very much feasible.
Campus Life
There are a number of different extracurricular activities available. The laboratories are good, with many different equipment and guidance. Workshops and seminars are held on a variety of topics, and there are inter-college meets held with different competitions. There are strict anti-ragging guidelines in place, so that is helpful.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides hostel facilities, with the Principal of the college acting- as the warden. The amenities provided are very good, with wi-fi, common reading and TV rooms and dry cleaning services all available at any time. The rules are a bit strict, with many restrictions imposed on movement in and out of the hostel premises, ansd even regarding upkeep of rooms.
Admission
Admission to Vellalar College for Women is on the basis of 10+2 results. The application form is available for the office, or in an online form on the website. I had made my choice on subject and course I wanted to study, and I was looking to take admission in a women's college. Vellalar College is known for being one of the best in this regard, hence I decided to take admission.
Faculty
The faculty members are experienced and they are very helpful towards the students. They always tried their best to help us understand, and when anyone had doubts, they would explain calmly and help the person out.
