I scored 77 percent in my 12th examination from commerce and got admission in Zakir Hussain college in B.com Prog course. I chose this college as many great people has studied in this college and have great career and succesful in their life.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was thorough in nature and had all the components of a good course for commerce study. Total of 12 subjects were there, 4 each year.

Internships Opportunities

Every year college provide assistance in getting recruit. Many highly reputed companies come to provide jobs with salary as high as 8 lakhs P.A. Average package is approx 2.5 lakhs P.A.

Placement Experience

College placement cell is one of the best in Delhi University with placement percentage as good as 70 percent.Job opportunities were provided by companies like Genpact, IBM, accenture, IGATE, TCS, RELIANCE, WIPRO etc with salary as high as 8 lakhs P.A. Average package is approx 2.5 lakhs P.A.

College Events

Every year Zakir Husain College celebrates 2 major events, Freshers party at the starting of academic year and Annual festival named 'AADAB' in December. Annual festival consists of many activities such as Dance competition, Singing, Quiz, Games, rangoli making, Fashion Show, Debates etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This college is one of those colleges in University which have highly feasible fee in Delhi. Fee structure starts from 6000 per year and max goes upto 9000 per year in comparison to many other colleges which charges fees as high as 17000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Colleges gives many scholarships every year to students on basis of merit. College also has facility to offer free books and waive off fees for poor students.

Campus Life

Though this college is situated off campus of Delhi university but surrounding area is very good. There are some good shops and market nearby most famous being Connaught Place which is a hub for shopping and eating and all famous brands are available there to shop and eat.

Exam Structure

In new exam structure, there are 3 examinations every year, 1st term, 2nd term and Final.1st term in Setember, 2nd term in January and Final in May-June. Generally date sheet have sufficient time gaps between exams for study.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I applied to several colleges including hansraj college ,kirorimal college within in the university of delhi,along with a couple of private institutions such as christ university and amity university.among the zakir hussain college stood out due to its unique offering in a certain parameter. but unfortunately i didn't secure admission to hansraj or kirori mal due to their higher cutoff in my courses .
