Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum comprises of 4 or 5 papers. For the literature part the emphasis is on American Literature. It is a culmination of poetry, prose and fiction. It is a combination of both ancient and modern literature.
Placement Experience
There is a counseling cell which provides guidance. There are not much placement opportunities and less job opportunities due to the ongoing lockdown. The placement cell is also absent and there is hardly any on-campus placement.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees are very negligible. There are a number of fees to be paid which include-Admission fees; tuition fees; laboratory fees; library fees; session fees. The tuition fees are Rs 750; admission fees is Rs 125; library fees are Rs 20 and session fees is Rs 300 and laboratory fees is nil.
Campus Life
There is a functional library and computer lab. There is Awareness and Leadership Training Programme. There is a Plant Green Mission, Computer Education Programme and Adult Literacy Programme. There is a NCC day celebrated each year.
Admission
Our college is of immense repute in Darjeeling. There is a merit list for admission. There are around 33 students as the maximum capacity. The registration fees is around Rs 250. An interview is also conducted during admission.
Faculty
The faculty is extremely talented and they always up on their toes to help us out. Miss Mandira Ghissing is the H.O.D and Assistant Professor. Smriti Singh, Priyanka Rai and Shikha Tamang are the other Assistant Professors.
