Course Curriculum Overview

Curricular for this course is designed perfectly by the department which would provide the students with insight knowledge about the basic theories of economics and statistics. Apart from that assignments and viva are also conducted frequently.

Placement Experience

Most of the students in our college try to go for the higher studies and do not seek placement from the college. Apart from that university still provide students with placements opportunities to students who want it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the B.Sc in Economics costs around Rs 10,000 which for me is quite affordable and very feasible. Besides, it is quite justified with the kind of academics and facilities provided by the university.

Campus Life

In terms of extracurricular activities, Women colleges provide their students with numerous amenities and facilities which help students in their studies and college life. The campus consists of the big library and sports complex.

Admission

I got my admission to Women's College through the annual merit list provided by the college. I first applied to the college by filling the online application form. After that, I was selected and visited campus to submit my documents and fee.

Faculty

I admire the faculty of our college as they are very kind and highly educated. They help students in every way possible and they teach kids by providing real-life examples and case studies with good study material and notes.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Best to find in the least.

The student must have acquired 60 percent in 10+2 standard. The application form is available in the college website. There is no application fees. The application is given out in July . There is 10 percent reservation for OBC SC and ST. The semester exams takes place every 6 months along with internal exams every 2 months. The exams are moderate in difficulty level. Our college provides an auditorium which can accommodate up to 150 students at one go. There is a spacious common room for activities such as indoor games ( chess, carom board, dancing rooms) etc. A separate grievance cell is also there were the students can give their feedback about the college premises/staff in the complaint box.
