My College Review

The college is affiliated to University of North Bengal , Darjeeling and the course structure is prepared by UGC . For a bachelor's course in Arts we are provided with lot of exposure towards social issues . There are total of 6 semesters in 3 years of Bachelor course . Every year two semester exam is conducted . The labs are conducted twice a week for science subjects and for arts subjects we specifically do not need any lab.

There are no campus placement in our college . The college not even provides internships to the students . The courses offered by the college are non-professional and does not require any technical skill . The students mostly plan to write government exams or look for higher studies in our college .

The fee structure is pretty feasible . We are asked to pay around 2000 INR per semester . For a total of 6 semester it will cost you around 12000 INR for Bachelor of Art in Geography . The fees for honors course is a bit high as compared to the normal degree.

The college environment is really good. The students come from varied backgrounds in our college . The gender ratio is very good in my college and the best thing is college really takes care for girl safety. Our college conducts sports competition every year which in turn is a big event of my college . Students mostly take part in football because we have a good football team. Cultural fests are a definite part of the college .

We don't have a dedicated alumni section for our passout seniors but still they are in touch with us. They always guide us to our career paths. The college seniors are very helpful and kind . We often play outdoor sports with them. Most of our college alumni are pursuing their higher education from reputed colleges in India.

The admission to the college is merit based . The marks obtained in class 12th is the basic criteria for admission to the college. You can visit the official college website for the online application form .There is a minimal registration fees for online application form which is very basic.

Most of the senior college faculty are PhD in thier respective fields. The junior or adhoc teachers in the college is minimum NET . The screening of teachers while recruitment is done very properly in my college . All the senior faculty are very helpful and kind . We get to interact with our HOD once in a day and they always look forward to solve our doubts on the go .
