DGC- Review

I did Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English). from here and the course was of three years. The course curriculum was set to improve our English skills and had all the subjects related to English language.

We had a Counselling & placement cell which was to help us with career guidence or various careers options available for us. Many HR managers from different companies were called in campus to interact with us. I got a job in a media organisation as we can also get job in it after completing of ba hons in English.

As it was a government college the fees structure of the course was very feasable or economical to us. I pursued three years of ba hons. In English and the total fees of three years course was just Rs. 4,965

Various scholarships opportunities were available for the students as per the government such as for meritorious students or for the SC/ST and other minority communities. Some of the scholarships scheme were Rajiv Gandhi national fellowship for SC/ST Candidates. Maulana Azad national fellowship for minority students. And there were many more.

There were various committees such as one for holding Seminar & workshops and one for sports and games which were all responsible for conducting of all such extracurricular activities so many extracurricular activities use to take place throughout the year for students. Also there were gender sensitization cell because of which there were no discrimination among students and everyone was treated equally.

The admission was on the basis of my merit in my academic year 10+2. The college announced the merit list on its website. The basic eligibility criteria was to be clear in the qualifying examination of 10+2 with minimum of 55%

The faculty of my department was well qualified and had a great experience in teaching. They use to teach us with full efforts and interest. We have had a bond with our teachers as they were both strict and friendly at times.
