The college life in Siliguri B.Ed College is amazing. The faculties, infrastructure, labs, playgrounds, vocational trainings and others helps you to transform in to a teacher with better understanding its values.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum focuses mainly on developing a good quality teacher. It introduces vast subjects to perfect the upcoming teacher to have knowledge about all the fields. The students are give dynamic and complex assignments to improve their creative thinking.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are not bad. Only few companies come to recruit from the college like schools and colleges within the same locality or distant villages to hire students for various teaching positions. Otherwise, most of the students apply themselves for different teaching positions in different institutions. Almost 100% students get placed in various schools and colleges.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure for the two year B.Ed course is a bit expensive compared to other colleges which offer the same course. I had to pay 40,000 INR for the first year and the second year with 35,000 INR. The total fees sums to be 75,000 INR, which is quite expensive.
Campus Life
The college hosts various co-curricular activities apart from academics. The students are given opportunities to exhibit their talent and their unknown skills. The college conducts different singing, dancing, debate, quizzes, etc., competitions for students. The lab facilities of the college is astonishing. The instruments are all high end with updated softwares to help students learn many other different skills.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is quite large and they are the big supporters of this college. They are the persons who motivate us at different time by visiting the college and telling their stories. They teach half of the things they have experienced. The seniors are also very adorable. They assist us everytime we have some issues.
Admission
The college selects your application through the merit marks obtained in your graduation. The applications are verified during the day of counselling and given the seat allotment. The fees has to be submitted on the day of the admission.
Faculty
The faculties are highly qualified. Their teaching methodology is adoptable and they teach us various technique to a good orator and how to make the audience listen by introducing interactive content during your teaching.
