Course Curriculum Overview

Ba English hons is honors level graduation course which has the duration of 3 years and follows semester system. The course focuses on depth of literature and essentials of language portion. The days are full of learning and exams are also not hectic.

The institution is good in its education and has all the resources for the students. There are abundant of opportunities to enhance their learnings. There are internships and job opportunities for the students. Mostly students opt for higher studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the BA English hons is around 40 thousand which is very feasible as per the demands and popularity of the course among the students. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

The college is good in its extracurricular activities.They have various sports activities like football, basketball and so on. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fates. Various festivals are also celebrated.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Dumkal College, a loving Study Centre

There are online process of Admission to this College. The authority will publish merit lists according to the marks of Higher Secondary as merit point. So they are clean to their admission policy. No third party public are allowed in this process. The College will give admission menu in their website, and student have to pay the fees at online process. Student don't need to go college untill their final admission done .
