Remarks

Research activities during the summer and winter vacations augment the students yearning for learning. Sports competitions were held and prizes were distributed for winners. Many workshops and international conferences are held at our campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

College offers the following specializations like HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY, POLITICAL SCIENCE, SANSKRIT, BENGALI, ECONOMICS, ENGLISH, and also GEOGRAPHY. All these have a course structured by top professionals from various other institutes over the country.

Placement Experience

Here the placement cell is proactive and they train each and everyone of us with a great experience and they fill each and every student with enthusiasm. We have Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a major recruiter of final year students of this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very minimal here and every student can afford that. It is actually very low as compared to other colleges or universities as far as I know. The fee per year is around ?1,905, but this doesn't include hostel and mess fee.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is 60:40 And the extracurricular is at extreme, you can opt for anything here. The facilities for sports, photography is overwhelming here. There are many clubs here, where you can be a member of. For instance, the photography club has many faculties to guide you regarding the photography.

Admission

You must be 10+2 qualified from a recognized board and scored at least 50% marks in total. Your application will be judged on the basis of the merit of all applicants and hence, securing a good percentage is highly recommended.

Faculty

We know every faculty over here has completed his/her PhD and they have so well knowledge and experienced to teach the courses of their own expertise. Alipurduar College offers 100% doctoral faculty. All the faculty members are so helpful and caring.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
