Course Curriculum Overview

The course involves active practical work along with theory which also includes subjects focusing on the analytical skills of the students. The reference books for all the subjects are easily available in the library.

Placement Experience

Our college being the Government funded focused in providing the degrees only. We lacked the proper functioning placement cell so it was something the college must work up on. Also there were no summer internships for our department.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It being the Government college, the fee was the lowest possible you could think of. My entire graduation was done within 6,000 which is something so affordable but it also welcomes the high competition.

Campus Life

We had a number of extra curricular activities and competitions along with the well spacious labs and neat college campus. There is students union that works for the welfare of the students studying in the college.

Admission

The online application forms are available on the website and I registered through it. It was a very elaborate form and information about the academics were asked. The admission is strictly on the basis of merit.

Faculty

The faculty are really talented and has in depth knowledge of the subject matter. We were given regular assignments to be completed during vacations and as home task, references were available in the library.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
