Remarks

The college is an extremely good place for girls to pursue their Higher education. My overall experience at my college was amazing. I learnt so much from my college years. I am extremely grateful for everything that I recieved in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I found the course curriculum to be amazing. The subjects and topics were really interesting and caught my attention immediately. They update the syllabus according to the latest recommendation. The regular day in college was not very hectic.

Placement Experience

Our college is a general degree college still we have a placement cell separately in our college. IT, retail and front office companies visit our campus. We also get skill development and career development classes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the three years course was Rs. 8,453 only. This was very feasible and affordable for me as it was for many students because the fees is very inexpensive. The education at this fees was amazing.

Campus Life

The college has various sports facilities. Sports day is also organized every year. The college also celebrates its annual day. NSS activities are done. Picnics are also organised every year. There are various clubs for students to join.

Admission

I got admission in the basis of the marks obtained in 10+2. The applicants are invited in online mode. The criteria is 10+2 pass from a recognised board with at least 50% marks in choice of subject for honours. Then a merit list is created for the students that are selected.

Faculty

The faculty was cooperative. I liked the teaching style of Prof. Debamitra Kar. She always engaged with the studensts in her lectures. All the faculty were really highly qualified and were always available for doubt clearing sessions.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Best to find in the least.

The student must have acquired 60 percent in 10+2 standard. The application form is available in the college website. There is no application fees. The application is given out in July . There is 10 percent reservation for OBC SC and ST. The semester exams takes place every 6 months along with internal exams every 2 months. The exams are moderate in difficulty level. Our college provides an auditorium which can accommodate up to 150 students at one go. There is a spacious common room for activities such as indoor games ( chess, carom board, dancing rooms) etc. A separate grievance cell is also there were the students can give their feedback about the college premises/staff in the complaint box.
