Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed to give us an knowledge with a lot of focus on research as well as our writing skills. There is a general discussion as well as debates are a part of our curriculum which makes it more interesting.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of the college is average and usually call centres visit for recruitment. The internships opportunities are also available but that too for people with commerce background and less for arts courses.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The first year fees for the BA course is Rs 2,620 which I think is very cheap and affordable for anyone. The facilities are all included in the fees apart from the examination fees. One can consider this option!

Campus Life

Extracurricular activites are in the form of workshops, seminars and even webinars. Students are actively engaged in various sociopolitical issues and are enthusiasm about nukkad Nataks as well to show solidarity.

Admission

The admission to the college is based on the marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination that is class 12th exams. Also, there is a session of e-counselling done for students. The admission forms are available online.

The faculty of the college is highly experienced and qualified with teachers who are motivated to teach us. Hardly any teacher takes an off for personal reasons and I'm still in touch with most of my teachers.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Kaliyanganj College is one of the largest colleges in Kaligganj in the North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. The college, affiliated with the University of Gaur Banga, offers undergraduate courses.
