Remarks

I had an amazing experience in the college. I fondly remember my college life for all the fun and education I recieved there. I have learnt so much in these three years of college life and I will apply these for the rest of my life.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was very nicely structured. It was very scientific and research oriented. The exams were taken at regular intervals and some semester were tough than other. A regular day at college was not very hectic.

Placement Experience

There is a placement cell in the college. IT, retail and front office companies visit our college for placement. There is also internships available for students to do. There are also skill development and career development classes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for the three years course was Rs. 13,418. This fees was divided into the three years. I felt the fees was very affordable for students of any background. I absolutely loved the facilties that we got.

Campus Life

There is a NSS unit in the college. There are various sports facilities in the college. The college has various clubs for students to pursue their passions after college hours. Sports day and annual day is celebrated in the college.

Admission

I got admission in the college based upon my 10+2 marks. The eligibility criteria was passing 10+2 exams from a recognised board and having 50% marks atleast in the subject of honours. The admission process was online.

Faculty

The faculty was very knowledgeable. I admired Prof. Dr. Shukla Ghosh for the way he taught us the subject. There were many guest lecturers as well. All the professors were highly qualified and experienced.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Best to find in the least.

The student must have acquired 60 percent in 10+2 standard. The application form is available in the college website. There is no application fees. The application is given out in July . There is 10 percent reservation for OBC SC and ST. The semester exams takes place every 6 months along with internal exams every 2 months. The exams are moderate in difficulty level. Our college provides an auditorium which can accommodate up to 150 students at one go. There is a spacious common room for activities such as indoor games ( chess, carom board, dancing rooms) etc. A separate grievance cell is also there were the students can give their feedback about the college premises/staff in the complaint box.
