Course Curriculum Overview
In the first 3 semesters we were taught some subjects like Introduction to Biology, Biodiversity- Algae and Microbiology, Chemistry, Biodiversity- Mycology and Phytopathology and Plant Resource Utilization. As we proceeded towards the 5th semester many practical subjects were included.The curriculum is a combination of practical and theoretical topics.
Placement Experience
In my time there were no internship opportunities provided for students and only few students were placed in good companies. Though the placement record is improving year after year but no significant change is made till now.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee here is very feasible. The total fee is INR 4,275/- . The yearly fee includes the tuition fee of approx 1,425/- . Our college provides the best education at minimal charges as compared with other colleges that are providing the same courses.
Campus Life
Our college excels in extracurricular activities as we have various rooms such as art and craft room, music room and multipurpose halls where numerous activities are organized. There are many active clubs in our college such as NCC. NSS, technical club, literary club and many more. Various seminars and workshops also takes place in the college itself.
Admission
The admission here is done on the basis of merit list released by the university of Calcutta. I got a seat here in BSc Botany on the basis of my class XII percentage. The minimum eligibility criteria is XII certificate from a recognized board. After applying online I got shortlisted and was further called in the college for submission of various documents.
Faculty
The faculty of my course focuses on providing the best quality education to all the students. They are highly qualified and are very knowledgeable. The teachers are well experienced in their respective fields and acted as a great support system in my entire journey.
