Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was according to the University of Calcutta. It was very precisely focused on every course because there were only 2-3 courses. We really enjoyed the syllabus and the subjects. Exam time wasn't a pressure at all.

Placement Experience

We were trained before graduation on fluent English speaking, office management and personality development. Not many companies came for campus placements, but TCS did conduct our interviews at college for recruitment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for a year of my course was ?11,000 something. So the total of my graduation cost us ?33,000 for three years. I don't know about other students, but at least for my family, it was quite affordable.

Campus Life

At our Annual Sports, teachers and students would participate in events like race, tug of war, volleyball, etc. There was an annual college magazine in which we could also contribute and get credit. We also certain student clubs.

Admission

I had loved Psychology for a long time because I liked observing people and their behaviour. This college offered that, and at a low fees. So I grabbed the opportunity and applied here. I got into the merit list, and fulfilled the formalities so that was it.

The faculty did a great job teaching us. My friends of other classes also revealed that their teachers were truly dedicated. We were honesylu proud to have been taught by such qualified, professional teachers.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
