Course Curriculum Overview

Everything, including the examinations, is executed as per guidelines of University of North Bengal.Till now I studied two semesters which included Calculus, Geometry, Differential Equation, and Algebra

Talking about job opportunities, the college has an outstanding placement cell and training cell respectively. They also render scholarships to the students that are precise and eligible enough in their respective feilds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For the three years course in B.Sc Math Hons, I will have to pay a grand total of 53,875 INR that includes tuition fees, exam fess, admission fees, registration fees, and other fees within the structure.

Campus Life

The labs have all the equipment for the students of any particular department. Also, I never noticed anyone discriminating on the basis of religion, gender, race, or economic status at any point of time. They also accommodate numerous extracurricular activities for students.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very friendly and helpful in nature. They have been extremely supportive from the moment I joined the campus. I have also made numerous senior friends who guides me with my career and academics.

Admission

I was interested in Mathematics and I had good marks too, so I opted for the same in my UG course. The admission process included a form fill up online and then selection on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Till now, I have no complaints for any faculty members. All of the teachers have been extremely supportive and encouraging with me. Each time I went to them with doubts, they were welcoming and cleared my doubts immediately.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

At my time it was merit based admission system so 85-90% is needed. You'll get admission details with form and all in their portal only. Reservation benefits you'll get only in scholarship perspective. The frequency is 6 month and exam difficulty level is moderate. I only applied to this college online mode. The admission process is completely based on a merit basis determined by the 12th-grade result recognized by any state or central govt.
