Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty similar to other universities. The course duration is of 3 years with 6 semesters, one semester in every six months. We had regular labs, along with frequent assignments and quizzes. Every semester, we have one mid sem class test and a final end sem exams. We did had a lot of curricular activities but there was still room for enjoyment.
Placement Experience
The placement cell does helps in providing necessary training opportunities. I had a pretty good relations with my professors, so it was pretty easy to get a research internship for me. Many of my batchmates got an offer as research analysts while most of them including me decided for further studies. All in all, the placement scenario is quite satisfactory.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As the college is a government college, you pretty much don't have to pay a good amount like other colleges. My fee was around 2K INR per year which is very very less compared to 18-20K of other colleges. This fee will include your admission, library, and all other fees.
Campus Life
We do have sports facilities available in our campus with all kinds of popular sports. I was a member of the football team in the past and we share great memories together. We also have our own cultural fests and other club events. We also celebrate all festivals on our campus.
Admission
I have always loved physics since school times, and after my 12th grade, I decided to follow my passion for physics. I applied online for colleges for the B.Sc degree. The eligibility criteria for Alipurduar College was to secure a minimum of 50% in 12th science stream. On the basis of merit, the seats are allocated to students.
Faculty
The faculty is pretty decent and highly qualified. Faculty members are chosen through a screening process so they are pretty knowledgable in their domain. Frequent guest speaking sessions and seminars are held to guide students.
