I heard great reviews about it and the location as well .Overall it was the reputation along with the culture , faculties they have .

Course Curriculum Overview

Some of the faculties are really helpful and kind . Although you're away from home yet it feels like you're in home . They are really heartwarming

Placements are really fair , companies come but they are less in number so you really need to work very hard . Coding and clearing your basic is the key to success.

Fees and Financial Aid

Sadly our college doesnt goes for any scholarship programme but yes the fees is of mediocre range , neither so cheap , nor so expensive .

Campus Life

Life at campus is amazing,the weather adds on to the delight , all in all it is such a charm ti be around the mountains , moreover the dhaba's and hot chai , we even have snowfall in our campus .Apart from these there are different clubs ,we can take part in any of the activities going on , apart of it we also have an awesome cafeteria which serves us with delicious foods at affordable rates egg fried rice being my favourite .

Hostel Facilities

hostel are really good with personal balconies , and mess also serves with a variety of food ,we have one sweet dish in dinner everyday ,with special on sundays , and timing are fixed

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied for Chitkara, Cu, Du, HPU, SRM etc and the main reason I choose this college is because of the studies, placement and location. The study culuter in this unversity is very good as compared to other university . The student Teacher ratio not very large as compared to the other university which give every students a chance to stand out and get better results . I got acceptance from cu , du and 2 or 3 other colleges. Yes i also got rejections from colleges like SRM , VIT for not scoring a good percentile in jee and the fees and cost of living there i svery high as compare to JUIT . The admission process is very easy students can apply on the basis of their boards marks or on the basis of their JEE exams as well . After that students can attend the counselling sessions where they can vbisit the college get to know about the college . the admission staff is very helpful and they guide the students and family step by step throught out the whole process....Read More

JUIT- beautiful place

I applied in thapar, jiit, juit and Manipal. I got admission in all of them but I chose juit. I didn't go to jiit because my parents thought that environment of juit would be better. Also they were a bit hesitant to me living in Delhi for my graduation as people are very young during graduation. Didn't choose manipal as juit was better in every aspect other than placements. Juit is good

I had got admission in Jaypee noida but in 128 sector and also stream was IT which I didn't preferred so I left that.
