Good Institute for population sciences.

The course curriculum was a one year course. The curriculum was designed to provide high level of understanding in population science. In the curriculum, we have to study about link between population and various socia-economic, health and environmental factors. Exam structure was not at all hectic. We have to give final examination at the end of the course.

Job opportunities and placement was average in our institute. The placement cell conducts many campus interview for the students by inviting many companies. Most of the students from our Institute got recruited in companies like Reliance Foundation, ihat, AMs, WHO, UNICEFs, Ministry of Health and Family welfare in the campus interview. They offered salary package according to the abilities and skills of the students. Maximum salary package offered by the companies was 8 lakh rupees annually.

The institute organizes many events and festivals in the campus. Events and festivals like UMANG, Diwali, Food Fest, New Year Eve, Republic day, Independence day, world population Day, National seminars etc are organized. The students committee of our institute organizes these events in a very big way. Both teachers and students participate in all the events and festivals.

The fees structure was very much feasible for all the students. The fees for the one year course was around 23000 rupees which includes admission fees, library fees, laboratory fees, tution fees etc. I found the fees quite affordable to pay.

The institute encourages students to enjoy and participate in different activities. The institute organizes sports events at college level, inter college and University level. Besides these, many activities like blood donation camp, AIDS Awareness programme, Alumni meet are also organized on regular basis. These activities provides very good platform for us to develop our talents and skills.

The admission process in our college depends upon the results in the last qualifying examination. I got admission in this course after qualifying my Master degree in population education with 70 percent of marks from a recognised university. The minimum eligibility was 55 percent of marks in M.A/M.SC. Students from both the stream are eligible to get admission in this course. After fulfilling the marks requirement, i gave an online test. After clearing my online test, i was called for personal interview. The final selection was based on the performance in online test and personal Interview.

Teachers of our institute are very caring and kind personality. They takes lot of care to each and every students. Teachers gives us very good and valuable knowledge related to the subject. They are very friendly with all the students.
