About My college

The course is very much updated because it is designed as per UGC Credit Based Choice System by the college. My course duration is two years and it is made to provide a brief knowledge of the population, various socio-economic and environmental factors in the world. The important topics in the course are Demography and History of Population, Mortality, Morbidity and Public Health, Biostatistics & Epidemiology, Economics and Geography, Migration and Urbanization.

Job opportunities are provided by the placement cell of the college. Every year recruiters like Unicef, AMs, UNDP, That, WHO, Magic 9, UNFPA, Ministry of health and family welfare, Reliance Foundation, Indian Council of medical research, TISS, NISH, NLU, IQVIA and many more offer job opportunities to the students. There is a selection process which is divided into three steps Preliminary Test, Group Discussion (GD) and Interview.

Being a government college the fees structure of my course is Tuition Fee (per year) -INR 8000, Computer Fee (per year)INR -2500, Examination Fee (per year) INR -1000, Provisional Certificate Fee INR -100, Degree Certificate Fee INR -200, Medical Examination Fee INR -200, Sport/Cultural Fee (per year)INR -1000, Library Deposit INR -2000, Mess Deposit-INR 4000 and Library Fee (per year)INR -800. which is very feasible.

My college is very good at extracurricular activities beause we have monthly Seminars, Workshops, Conferences in the college campus. which helps student to motivate. we have beautiful classrooms with the facilities of modern sound systems,audio-visual tools, computers, overhead projectors and projectors. My college also have a Guest House for the visitors ,conference participants, and alumni. we have a big seminar hall for a siting capacity of more than 45 students. which is well equipped with chair, light and fully air conditioned.

The admission procedure is very simple, any student can take admission in the course no matter he is from India or foreign. But a candidate must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 55% for general category and 55% for reserved from a recognized board in India. A candidate has to appear for the Online Entrance Test across India and the admission is given on the merit list.

The college faculty is very wise and knowledgeable especially our Director Dr K. S. James, who is a Sr. Professor and very educated. he has completed his Post Doctoral Degree from Harvard University, he did PhD in Demography from Jawaharlal Nehru University and he is M.Phil and M.A. in Economics. which makes them unique and intelligent from other faculty members.
