A blissful journey.

Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya provides me with the best of education and exposure from the great noble teachers and doctors. I got the opportunity to work as an intern for a very well known institute, ?Aakash?. The faculty and the education given by them is exceptional. The college is itself very relaxing and gives a stress free environment. I met so many well known nobles and doctors and still rejoice the times i interacted with them. The college is surely the temple for education.

The course is 3 years long and the level of study increases with every passing year. Every semester has 4-5 subjects which mainly consisted of plant diversity and types. English and behavioural science are taught too each year. Internals and externals are taken regularly and every year respectively with practicals performed in labs and research work assignments are given every week. Presentations related to our research work along with oral viva are conducted too. The libraries and labs are equipped with all the essentials needed for student?s needs. The curriculum is relaxing and stress free with lots of learning experience.

The Bsc in Botany opens a lot of opportunities for students. We can either continue our research work and study further the Msc or we can practise Bsc for other research work. Many students opt to apply as a teacher in schools or institutes or colleges after the completion of this degree. College has many placement opportunities, they would make you fill up a form via which you have an interview with various schools or institutes as teachers. Although it's recommended to study further for more scope. After the masters one can opt for a Phd degree too.

The university celebrates a lot of festivals and national holidays like republic day, independence day and hosts various sports day events. We have an annual day fest where students show their talent in music, dance, modelling etc. all the festivals are celebrated in a joyous and unity manner, the secularism is maintained through these events. We organise various sports competitions like cricket leagues, Volley-ball matches, kho kho matches etc.

The college fees for the Bsc Botany is taken annually at INR 2,367, which is totally feasible and affordable in comparison to the education and facilities it provides. This does not include the hostel or the registration fees or any excursions the college organises. The money is accepted in the form of demand draft submission at the college bank or credit or debit card payments via online method.

The college has a large variety of sports clubs which are open for every student,various music and dance clubs and many art clubs. They let us feel free to show our variant talents. Various sport matches are organised between different departments and where we compete with each other. Ceremonies of honour and achievements are hosted by the dean of our university. Farewells, freshers are properly celebrated and hosted by the seniors. The infrastructure of the university is well constructed for all the sports and activities enabling a stress free environment.

Hostel buildings are nicely constructed with the separate boys and girls hostel. It is guarded by tight security and each building has a warden to look after the students. The warden is very sweet and humble, she is not strict but helpful. The mess is disciplined and has proper opening and closing timings. We all are taught to lead a strict and disciplined life with proper routine through the hostel life. The food is healthy and tasty. All the utilities are given properly with cleaned washrooms and bedrooms.

The yearly alumni meet takes place at the end of each year where our ex seniors come and address us about their experience in different schools or institutes. They guide us to grow in our respective area of interest . Many of them pursued to study further, many of them have started research work for PHD, many works in the institute and schools which gives us the perception from all the sides. All the seniors are very polite, they are always ready to help the juniors.

I applied for the Bsc Botany course in the Vivekananda Mission Mahavidyalaya and got admission on the basis of my 12th class board examinations. I scored 95% in my boards and got the name in the first list. The application form was available online on their official website where I filled all my academic information with the documents. Later the counselling session was conducted and all the formalities were cleared with verification of hard copies and fees deposit.

The faculty at this university is full of nobles and learnt teachers who are Phd holders and scholars. They are full of empathy and help students to attain their ambition in life. Frequent tests are taken not strictly but to let the students learn by fun. Many teachers have a way of teaching through activities rather than a normal classroom scene. Faculty is supportive and often comforts students on a personal level too. They are all fluent in english which helps us to communicate better. Their vast experience makes us know more about the course.
