Remarks
My college is affiliated to the university of burdwan and its acknowledged by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and awarded ?B? by NAAC allover campus life is also good here. There is nothing such as ragging here. And the allover experience for me is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is fine. It's well structured having all the subjects required for graduation in English. The exams are yearly. The students of English hons. are been taught well enough of the must subjects in it. So that the students can pursue their career in the same with professionalism.
Placement Experience
However only the only negative aspect here is that there is no campus placements or internships opportunities. The students have to find it on their own. But the opportunities afterwards the graduation is good for job on the basis of degree from here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very much low or feasible. Nearly every student from rural communities can afford it. Its actually for the education of students from rural areas. I am doing Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English) and the total three year fees here is just 8100.
Campus Life
There are various extracurricular activities conducted by the college throughout the years which help for students developments and exposure. The total student intake here is 891/year and there are reserved seats for all the different categories of casts of students.
Hostel Facilities
However there is no facility of hostel in my college. Students from different regions can rent a room in nearby PG or other hostels which are near to the college. Or it's mainly for the local rural areas so mostly there isnt any requirements of PG/hostels to the students as most of them are local.
Admission
I didn't chose it over any other course. I chose Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (English) as I love English and want to be a Professor in it. There is no Interview or Entrance exam to get admission here. You have to qualify 10+2 with good Marks to get admission here. Especially in the subject you want to pursue your graduation on.
Faculty
The teachers here are very helpful and motivating. They try to make sure that every student get equal attention on every basis. All of the teachers are very experienced and well qualified. And they try to bring confidence in every student.
